Treasure Coast Web Design started back in 1998 as a way to for me to contribute to my personal interests and help non-profits and environmental groups with their web sites. I also had a few of my own fishing related websites. Needing to improve my skills I took design classes at IRSC which helped me gain confidence to tackle commercial sites. I than started doing sites for my friends that ran small business.
I’m still dedicated at helping the Treasure Coast area’s non-profits, environmental and small businesses get their message out on the Internet. I like to work one on one with those needing my help. My clients have stuck with me for years and we are not a fly by night that’s looking for a quick buck.
Web design is not my day job so I work doing web stuff in the evenings and weekends and full time in the summer. I have been with St. Lucie County schools for 18 years teaching technology, 30 years total in the Florida school system. I will be retiring in a few years and I’m working towards having enough work designing web sites to start a full time office in Fort Pierce.
Web site design has changed a lot from those early years, this is a good thing because it much easier to design a real professional looking site use CSS, PHP, HTML5 and WordPress. Today’s sites need ways you can insert all kinds of multimedia in a site. The Internet browsers are getting more compatible with each other so the code we use on the sites I design will work on all platforms.
